HR & People Ops
People decisions, properly routed
Offers, compensation changes and headcount approved by the right people, in the right order, with the reasoning kept.
What this usually looks like today
An offer is approved by three people over four days and the candidate accepts elsewhere.
Compensation changes route through whoever forwarded the email.
Headcount is approved in a planning cycle and forgotten by the time you hire.
Workflows
What hr & people ops teams run in Branchsolve
Each of these is a description away. None of them is a template you have to adopt.
Offer approvals
Level, base and equity route to the hiring manager, then finance above the band.
Compensation changes
Off-cycle increases and anything above a percentage reach the people lead.
Requisition to hire
Budget line and backfill status collected up front, so finance is not asked twice.
Promotions
Calibration recorded as a task step before approval opens.
Leave and PTO exceptions
Only requests outside policy route; the rest never enter a queue.
Contractor conversions
Legal and finance in parallel, both must complete.
Routing
Thresholds you can see before you commit
Branchsolve derives the boundary cases from the workflow’s own rules and shows you where each one lands. Nobody types this table out — it falls out of what you described.
Offer approval
- Within band, budgetedHiring manager
- Top of bandHiring manager, then People lead
- Above band…plus Finance
- Director and above…plus Executive sponsor
Questions we get from hr & people ops teams
Who can see salary information?
Members see only requests they submitted or that assign them work. Owners and administrators see everything in the workspace, which is why access roles are separate from the routing roles that decide who approves.
Does a routing role grant any authority?
No. Routing roles like 'finance' or 'cfo' decide who gets work. They grant no permission inside Branchsolve — that is a deliberate separation.
Can we bulk-load our org chart?
Yes, from CSV, Excel or a pasted table. A column that tries to set administrator or owner access is refused rather than imported.
Your process doesn’t have to be on this list
If you can describe it, Branchsolve can run it. Bring the one that causes the most arguments.
