Construction & Real Estate

Approvals that keep up with the site

Change orders, draw requests and subcontractor onboarding decided from wherever the approver is, with the record filed automatically.

What this usually looks like today

01

A change order is verbally approved on site and invoiced three months later.

02

Draw packages are assembled by hand from four inboxes.

03

A subcontractor starts work before the insurance certificate is checked.

Workflows

What construction & real estate teams run in Branchsolve

Each of these is a description away. None of them is a template you have to adopt.

Change orders

Value, schedule impact and whether it is owner-funded decide the chain.

Draw requests

Percentage complete and lien waivers collected, then project accounting and the owner's representative.

Subcontractor onboarding

Insurance certificate and licence as required attachments, expiring on a date the workflow can read.

RFI escalation

Unanswered past its SLA, it escalates to the design lead rather than sitting.

Material substitution

Routed to the architect when the spec section is affected, and to procurement when only cost is.

Site safety exceptions

Time-bounded, named owner, and the safety manager cannot be skipped.

Routing

Thresholds you can see before you commit

Branchsolve derives the boundary cases from the workflow’s own rules and shows you where each one lands. Nobody types this table out — it falls out of what you described.

Change order

  • Under $5,000, no schedule impactSuperintendent
  • $5,000–$50,000Superintendent, then Project manager
  • Over $50,000…plus Regional director
  • Any owner-funded change…plus Owner's representative

Questions we get from construction & real estate teams

Does this work from a phone on site?

Yes. The inbox is installable and can send push notifications, and approvals can be made from a chat assistant without opening the app at all.

Can we attach drawings and photos?

Yes. Documents attach to a request from the app or from chat, and only participants on that request can read them.

Can each project have different limits?

Put the project on the form and route on it. One workflow, project-specific thresholds.

Your process doesn’t have to be on this list

If you can describe it, Branchsolve can run it. Bring the one that causes the most arguments.
